Tall Ships Race

tallships race
Hey everyone. Not quite sure how many people are still checking in. I haven’t had ANY time to write anything on here, nor have I had any time to upload pictures, save a few. I’m really looking forward to getting a full day off so I can plan these things. There just isn’t enough time to do everything I want, so unfortunately the picture uploads get pushed down the bottom of the list.
Anyway sailing has been really fun. It’s quite a different experience from anything I’ve done so far, and getting everything to work like a perfect machine is always satisfying. The work is incredibly hard, and it’s taking a physical toll on me, but I can’t help but feel it’s a healthy change and a healthy experience. Real hard work that makes you appreciate the little simplicities and the beautiful moments. You can’t have the good without the bad, right?

Hopefully everyone’s having a great New Year so far, and if you’re feeling gloomy, the lunar new year is right around the corner, so you can have *something* to look forward to anyway. ;)

I’d love to hear what you’re all up to! Write me if you have the chance!

Well I went to Granville Island market today and picked up some fresh Salmon and Prawn tails along with other miscenalleous crap. I also grabbed 6 of the Cypress Honey Lager at the brewery and now I’m watching the Leafs play the Oilers.

This is what you meant right?

I got back on 4th Jan from a almost-month long holiday in Australia. A week in Adelaide, a week in Canberra, and nearly 2 weeks in Sydney over the new year. You can check out the photos here: http://spirit-blog.blogspot.com/2006/01/photo-blog.html

I’m in the process of creating a Flickr album to put the daily photos into one slideshow. I took 1500 photos, with only 147 making it to the ‘best of’, so that’s what I’m currently uploading to Flickr as I write this. It’s gonna take a little while…. When that’s done, I’ll link to it from the photo blog page I’ve linked to above.

Glad you’re having a great time! I look forward to any photos you can upload. The one you uploaded for the tall ships race is pretty cool!

    All the best!
